Natasha’s world is plummeted into chaos as a baby falls into arms only to try and manipulate everyone around her until she succumbs to becoming his mother.
This surreal horror comedy bridges many social and political discussions around what it is to be an able child bearer in today’s and recent generations’ worlds. This politically charged feminist series covers many issues from LGBTQ+, social housing issues to abortion rights. The supernatural tone weaves in mythology and symbolism creating an unease from a demonic presence. Easter eggs were created throughout, working with women’s history and culture to create an empathic humour that pin points the ongoing battle of a woman’s ownership of their bodies, and society’s reaction.
1970s
In a world full of female suppression our character fight to crave out life for themselves under a patriarchal eye. Lesbian and women’s communal squat living became a break away from suburban traditional wife roles as the battle for control and escape came from all sides.
